About the work
Through the fusion of humans and birds, Watson creates sculptures that question our relationship and invites the viewer to form their own imaginative conclusions about flight, migration and movement.

About the artist
Sian Watson, graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Visual Arts Honours (First Class) in 2015. She was a recipient of many prestigious art awards as part of the ANU Emerging Artist Support Scheme including a public art commission. She now has work in both public and private collection and hasexhibited work across Australia, Canada and the USA. She was the 2020 recipient of the Sculpture by the Sea Clitheroe Emerging Artist Mentor Award and the 2021 CAPO Rosalie Gascoigne Memorial Award.
