Anton Poon (HK)

About the work

My sculptures explore the concept of cultural transition through the metaphors of bridges, tunnels and the use of abstract modular forms. I developed this theme based on my journey and experience of leaving home as a young teen in Hong Kong to study in a foreign culture here in Australia. I sees my sculptures as gateways that allow myself to share and communicate my ideas physically and visually among other artist and the general public. With the Sculpture, Anchor, I continue to question my identity and sense of belonging by sharing my sculptures as an international artist.
