About the artist

sydenham international is an experimental art space located in Sydney’s Inner West, established and run by artists Consuelo Cavaniglia and Brendan Van Hek, and supported by a small group of emerging arts administrators and volunteers. sydenham international operates around core concerns of generating contemporary arts exchange, building and supporting artist communities and working intergenerationally. We critically engage with what an exhibition and a public outcome can be. A key curatorial approach is ‘re-presenting’, a tactic that invites artists to revisit existing works. This supports sustainability in practice while reactivating ideas through new contexts, encouraging ongoing dialogue and reinterpretation.
