About the work

ON OCTOBER 17, MOONLIGHTING WILL TAKE OVER THREE FLOORS OF A CITY CARPARK AND TRANSFORM THEM INTO A GALLERY, A CLUB AND A MUSIC VENUE, ALL IN ONE EVENT: ARTPARK.

ARTPARK IS A FESTIVAL OF EMERGING CANBERRAN TALENT, FEATURING TWENTY ARTISTS, THREE BANDS AND TWO DJS. FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, GUESTS CAN WANDER THROUGH A GALLERY BUILT INTO THE INDUSTRIAL SPACE, DANCE TO LIVE MUSIC AND DISCOVER A NEW FAVOURITE ARTIST, ALL BEFORE ANYBODY ELSE HAS EVEN HEARD OF THEM. EXPECT ART HUNG ON TEMPORARY WALLS, DJS IN UTES AND A SHARK AT THE BAR.

About the artist

Riley Curtain

With professional experience across the commercial gallery sector in two Australian states, as a Youth Councillor for the NGA, editor of Sydney’s Booker Magazine and Co-Director of MOONLIGHTING, Riley is a young arts organiser deeply committed to the development of Canberra’s art scene and its accessibility to young people. Riley also works as an Associate for the Boston Consulting Group, and holds Bachelor Degrees in Economics and the Arts (Major Mandarin Chinese, Minor German Language) from the ANU. He was recently appointed as a board member for the Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation.

 

Claudia Hunt

Claudia has extensive experience in youth engagement and arts organisation, and has worked as a team member of indie record label Gutwrench Records, chaired the ANU’s student magazine, Woroni, edited for Sydney’s Booker Magazine, sat on the NGA’s Youth Council and currently co-directs MOONLIGHTING. Claudia is currently working as a Youth Programs Intern at the National Gallery of Australia, where she works on various strategies to engage young Australians with the NGA, and is completing a degree in Law (Honours) and Liberal Arts (Major English Literature, Minor Mandarin Chinese) at the ANU. She has been appointed to the ACT Minister’s Creative Council for 2026-2028.
